Its punchy, controllable sound suits cinematic cues, dramatic builds and weighty drum arrangements, while mod-wheel layering lets you thicken performances with up to 21 tom layers. Blend close and distant stereo microphones for focused impact or added room character, then shape each channel with EQ, compression, saturation, modulation and reverb across eight effect slots. Six velocity layers and six true round robins help repeated hits feel natural. Adjustable dynamics, velocity response and attack and decay controls make it easy to tailor the playing feel, while an optional sub-octave layer adds taiko-like depth to the lower toms.
