Zitherette

Soundiron Zitherette brings the intimate character of an eight-string fretless zither to your productions. Recorded close and dry in wide stereo, its plucked strings combine a dark, rounded body with a crisp attack and lingering natural decay. Gentle playing reveals delicate, harp-like tones, while stronger strikes introduce a bending, pronounced twang. Detailed velocity layers, round-robin variations and palm-mute release samples help phrases feel expressive rather than repetitive. Play the strings as a chromatic ensemble or explore individual notes stretched across the keyboard. Shape the results with envelope controls, vibrato, filters and an LFO, then build patterns using the advanced arpeggiator and key-and-scale locking. Layered atmospheric ambiences and a modular effects rack expand its palette beyond acoustic textures. It suits producers seeking distinctive plucks for folk-inspired arrangements, ambient tracks, cinematic cues or melodic electronic music.
