Freelodica by Wavesfactory brings the breathy, reedy character of a sampled melodica to Kontakt. It suits producers looking for an intimate melodic voice for indie tracks, relaxed beats, or playful arrangements. Two recorded microphone positions, together with stereo and width controls, let you shape its spatial character. Envelope controls and separate key-noise and air levels help you balance clean notes with the mechanical and breath sounds that give the instrument personality. Optional three-way round-robin playback adds variation to repeated notes, while an extended playable range opens up more melodic possibilities. Choose original tuning for natural character or perfectly tuned samples for a tighter fit with other instruments. Dynamics respond to a selectable MIDI CC, giving you control over expression. Freelodica requires the full version of Kontakt; it runs only in demo mode in the free Kontakt Player.
