Montclarion Hall Grand Piano

Soundiron Montclarion Hall Grand Piano pairs a sampled 1926 Steinway parlour grand with the spacious acoustics of a recording hall in Oakland, California. Three wide-stereo microphone perspectives—close, mid and far—let you shape the balance between intimate piano detail and expansive room ambience. Its crisp, solid tone suits classical writing, jazz and soul arrangements, as well as piano parts for rock and pop productions. Beyond traditional playing, the library explores prepared piano textures with three tuned string-percussion sets, plus scrapes, plucks, glissandos, slides and percussive impacts. Sustain and release samples, pedal effects and incidental bench, lid and sheet-music sounds add acoustic character. Included atmospheres and evolving soundscapes offer further material for experimental scoring. It’s a strong fit for producers and composers who want both an expressive acoustic grand and unconventional piano-based sound design.
