Transformer by Digital Brain Instruments is a 64-bit standalone audio morphing tool for turning familiar recordings into fresh sound-design material. Its convolution processing combines microphone input, audio files, virtual instruments or procedurally generated sounds with carrier signals, creating layered textures and unusual transformations. Blend up to four sample-player carriers and a virtual instrument carrier with an XY pad, or isolate frequency ranges using Spectral Crossover for more focused processing. Sample controls include envelopes, looping, reverse, pitch and playback speed, while support for VST/AU effects adds further shaping options. Real-time processing, MIDI control and one-click file processing and recording make it useful for both experimentation and performance. With 1.2 GB of included cinematic, foley and effects samples, Transformer suits hobby producers, electronic musicians and sound designers exploring drones, creature sounds, impacts and evolving textures.
