Cassette Mallets.02 Multi-Format Bundle

Cassette Mallets.02 Multi-Format Bundle by THEPHONOLOOP brings experimental mallet textures and cassette character to your sampler. Its three instruments combine glockenspiel plates, xylophone tones, steel and corrugated-sheet resonances, plus an unusual spring-mounted mallet setup that produces scattered, granular-style patterns. Additional synthesis fills out the recordings and extends their keyboard range. Captured through three cassette decks, the library includes 2,565 samples with four or five dynamic layers per instrument. Carefully reduced sample noise keeps chords from becoming overly noisy, while a separate noise control lets you dial the tape atmosphere back in. The Kontakt version adds custom spring, hall and corridor reverb impulses; Kontakt and SFZ versions also offer simulated round robin for more natural fast passages. It suits producers seeking vintage melodic accents, offbeat percussion and textured parts for ambient, downtempo or experimental tracks.
