Luft

Luft by Cinematique Instruments turns air-powered instruments into a warm, expressive palette for ambient music, cinematic textures and characterful melodies. Its 34 sound sources range from church organs, fan organs and melodicas to flutes, ocarinas, water bottles and kazoo. Selected recordings passed through an old tape machine, adding a Mellotron-like character to the collection’s breathy, vibrating tones. Two independent layers let you combine sources and shape each one with EQ, modulation and distortion. Blend them together, then use the mod wheel to influence the overall sound through five available control options. More than 50 presets offer starting points for pulsing atmospheres, unusual textures and distinctive lead parts. Luft suits producers and composers who want organic movement and intimate acoustic character rather than a conventional synth sound.
