CodeFN42 Transition v1.13 x64 VST WiN [FREE]

CodeFN42 Transition is a free generative MIDI sequencer for producers who want to explore melodic patterns beyond conventional step sequencing. Available as a 64-bit Windows VST, it creates note and chord sequences by sending moving bots across a grid.

Each collision shapes the performance. Reaching a wall triggers notes according to that cell’s scale degree and octave settings, while bots that collide with each other change direction. Obstacles introduce further variations, including speed changes, pauses, redirects and jumps to different areas of the grid. Incoming MIDI notes can transpose the generated output within your chosen scale.

Adjustable bot behavior, randomization options and automation support let you steer the results toward orderly repeating phrases, unpredictable movement or a balance of both. It is a useful idea-generation tool for hobby producers working with MIDI instruments in compatible Windows hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.

Version 1.13 adds preset copying between plugin instances and an installer, alongside fixes for crashes involving multiple instances and DAW shutdown. This version is 64-bit only.
