CodeFN42 RandARP is a free MIDI arpeggiator VST plugin for Windows that turns incoming notes and chords into rhythmic note sequences. It suits hobby producers who want to explore variations on a chord progression or add less predictable movement to their arpeggios.
Alongside familiar controls for octave range, note length and playback order, RandARP offers randomization for velocity, gate, shift and swing. You can set the probability of notes playing, shuffle note and octave order, or randomize the number of octaves used. These options let you experiment with both the rhythm and pitch pattern rather than simply repeating the same sequence.
Version 1.36 adds preset copy and paste between plugin instances, making it easier to reuse settings across a project. It also introduces an installer and fixes crashes associated with multiple open instances and shutdown in some DAWs. This release is 64-bit only; a 32-bit version is no longer available. Use it in a compatible Windows VST host with MIDI routing, such as FL Studio or Ableton Live.
