Blossom

Blossom is a sample-based instrument built around vintage analogue synth recordings shaped through tape compression and outboard analogue processing. Its dusty, ghostly tones bring a sense of age and atmosphere to ambient tracks, cinematic cues, lo-fi productions and electronic music. Four sound layers let you build rich combinations, while the central XY pad morphs between sources for evolving textures and expressive movement. Each layer has its own envelopes and filters, with four LFOs and four modulation envelopes available for further animation. Seven global effects, an arpeggiator and intelligent randomisation offer additional ways to reshape your sound. Factory presets provide starting points, and user presets let you save your own creations. Blossom suits producers who enjoy the imperfections of ageing synths and tape but want hands-on control over layered, atmospheric sounds.
