VQ Drums

Wavesfactory VQ Drums brings the character of a 1964 Ludwig Hollywood drum kit to Kontakt, capturing vintage acoustic tones in a wooden studio. It suits producers looking for expressive drums for rock, pop, soul or retro-inspired tracks, whether programming MIDI or playing from a keyboard or electronic drum kit. Six velocity layers and six round-robin variations per articulation help repeated hits feel natural. Choose between two snares, two kick beaters and two ride cymbals, then adjust individual kit pieces with volume, pan and pitch controls. The mixer offers microphone bleed adjustment and output routing for shaping the kit inside your DAW. Built-in EQ, compression, saturation and reverb provide further sound-shaping options, while velocity curves and MIDI remapping adapt the instrument to your playing setup. Requires the full version of Kontakt 5.7.3 or later; the free Kontakt Player runs it in demo mode only.
