Vertigo Violin by Cinematique Instruments is a violin ensemble instrument built for expressive scoring and atmospheric production. Its Vertigo Engine lets you blend 14 sound sources, from delicate fingerboard playing and airy harmonics to gritty sul ponticello textures, bouncing bows and resynthesized violins. The result can feel intimate and warm, restless and raw, or wonderfully strange. Each sound can be mixed, tuned and panned independently, while selected articulations offer different player counts to shape the ensemble’s size and character. Start with one of 13 playable presets, then build your own layered string textures for film cues, ambient tracks or experimental arrangements. A separate portamento patch adds upward and downward fifth slides with one to eight violins. It suits producers and composers who want organic movement and distinctive string colours rather than a purely conventional orchestral sound.
