Chandler Limited® Zener Limiter

Softube Chandler Limited® Zener Limiter brings distinctive British compression and limiting to your mix, with a sound rooted in the classic Abbey Road lineage. Developed in collaboration with Chandler Limited, it models the hardware’s transformers, germanium transistors and zener diode circuitry for fast dynamics control with plenty of tonal character. Use it to add subtle vintage colour to individual tracks, reshape drum bus transients or give room microphones a more assertive personality. Variable input impedance, selectable compression modes and distinctive attack and release behaviour offer several ways to shape the response. Push the input for extra grit, or engage THD mode to disengage the limiter’s threshold and explore smooth harmonic distortion with a high-frequency lift. It suits producers who want characterful compression and saturation rather than purely transparent level control, especially for rock drums and lively bus processing.
