Softube Marshall JMP 2203 brings the bite and weight of a classic British rock amplifier into your DAW. Developed with Marshall, it models the reference amp housed in the Marshall museum, capturing the character of the 1975 design that preceded the JCM800. Balance preamp gain against master volume to explore different shades of drive: lean on the power amp for a more vintage, 1960s-style response, or push the preamp for sharper, more forward distortion. Cabinet recordings by AC/DC engineer Tony Platt and adjustable mic placement help shape the finished guitar tone. Use it as a native plug-in or inside Softube Amp Room. For home-recording guitarists and producers building rock, hard rock or heavier guitar arrangements, it offers a focused route to recognisable Marshall crunch without recording a loud physical amp.
