FREEZE: Air Piano

FREEZE: Air Piano by KLANG brings an unconventional upright piano texture to modern productions. Its sound starts with damped strings played while the sustain pedal is held down, giving the instrument a distinctive character that moves away from a traditional piano performance. While this playing technique has roots in contemporary music, KLANG shaped Air Piano with modern pop and hip-hop in mind.

It belongs to the FREEZE collection, which explores atmospheric sounds through frozen reverb tails, extreme stretching and experimental processing. Air Piano fits producers looking for piano-based colour rather than a conventional keyboard tone. Use it as a starting point for moody chord parts, understated melodic ideas or atmospheric layers around a beat. For hobby producers exploring more unusual textures, it offers a different angle on a familiar acoustic instrument.
