Magic Switch

Magic Switch by Baby Audio is a one-button chorus plugin that turns clean sounds into darker, richer textures with an unmistakably 80s-inspired character. Adapted from the Magic effect in Super VHS, it pairs a custom chorus algorithm with gentle, analogue-modelled low-pass filters that mellow the processed signal. The result is warm, detuned movement rather than a bright, pristine shimmer. Try it on synth chords, pads or melodic layers when a part feels too clinical and needs some nostalgic colour. Instead of recreating a specific vintage unit, Magic Switch offers its own take on the lush synth atmospheres of the era. Its straightforward approach suits hobby producers and anyone who prefers quick creative decisions over detailed parameter tweaking, especially when adding lo-fi flavour to otherwise polished productions.
