Emulator II V

Arturia Emulator II V is a multitimbral sampler instrument that brings vintage digital character to modern productions. Inspired by the E-mu Emulator II, it pairs grainy 8-bit textures with warm analogue-style filtering for dusty keys, atmospheric layers and unmistakable ’80s tones. Its library combines classic Emulator and Synclavier samples with contemporary sounds, while sample import lets you give your own recordings a retro edge. Choose modern DAC behaviour or an emulation of the original hardware’s conversion for different tonal flavours. Layer, assign and crossfade up to eight samples across the keyboard, with individual filter, VCA and LFO controls for each sample. A six-mode arpeggiator and two assignable expression wheels add movement and performance control. It suits hobby producers making synth-pop, lo-fi beats or cinematic textures who want sample-based flexibility with a synth-like workflow.
