Little Pump Reeds

Little Pump Reeds by Soundiron brings the intimate, reedy character of small air-powered instruments into a playable Kontakt library. Its collection includes traditional Indian shruti boxes, a mini accordion, a plastic saxophone-like instrument with a harmonica-style tone, and a 14-note concertina captured with three dynamic layers and multiple articulations. These distinctive sounds suit folk-inspired arrangements, quirky melodies, textured drones and characterful soundtrack parts. A single preset gives you access to the instruments, with controls for articulation switching, layering, crossfading, envelopes, vibrato and pitch. For more adventurous production, explore tempo-synced LFO modulation, 12 filter options, a customizable arpeggiator and key-and-scale locking. The modular effects rack offers 18 processors across 10 slots, while 20 sound-designed FX presets provide starting points beyond the acoustic recordings. It’s a useful choice for producers and composers seeking unusual reed textures with flexible sound shaping.
