TAPED: Reversed & Hiss

TAPED: Reversed & Hiss by KLANG is a piano instrument built around warmth, nostalgia and the character of an imperfect recording. At its heart is a charming, slightly out-of-tune Blüthner piano, captured in a friend’s living room rather than a pristine studio. Room noise adds a lived-in texture, while a reversed vibraphone layer brings an unusual colour to the piano sound. Part of KLANG’s tape-inspired TAPED collection, it favours intimacy and imperfection over a polished concert-piano presentation. Its warm, characterful tone makes it a natural fit for reflective melodies, understated cinematic passages and lo-fi arrangements. For producers and composers looking for a piano with personality, Reversed & Hiss offers an evocative starting point for quieter, more atmospheric music.
