lo•ki – Felt Piano

Sonuscore lo•ki – Felt Piano is a Kontakt piano instrument built around a soft, intimate sound. Felt placed between the hammers and strings gives each note a delicate character, making it a natural fit for reflective melodies, understated film cues and atmospheric productions. Five velocity layers and five round robins provide variation, while three recorded microphone positions offer different perspectives on the piano. Use the dedicated Glow slider to turn simple chord progressions into spacious textures, then shape the response with attack, release and dynamic range controls. Mechanics, tape and ambience controls let you refine the character further, with nine presets providing starting points. Its streamlined interface suits hobby producers and composers looking for an expressive alternative to a brighter piano sound. Requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt; the free Kontakt Player runs it only in demo mode.
