FireChild

FireChild by Tone Empire is a vari-mu compressor plugin inspired by classic tube hardware from the 1950s. It offers three tube models, A, B and C, plus a clean mode for compression without the added tube coloration. Dynamic convolution captures the character of the original units, while input drive and Bias controls let you explore different saturation textures—even without applying compression. Use it to add character to drums, shape vocals and instruments, or bring controlled dynamics to your mix bus and mastering chain. Six release modes and an adjustable knee help tailor the response, while side-chain high-pass and low-pass filters refine what triggers compression. A mix control makes parallel processing straightforward. With presets to get started, FireChild suits producers who want vintage-inspired warmth alongside flexible control over dynamics.
