Emergence by Daniel Gergely is a real-time granular effect that turns incoming audio into shifting textures, intricate delays and layered soundscapes. It continuously captures your signal in a buffer, then plays it back as tiny fragments called grains. Four independent grain streams let you shape how those fragments interact, with up to 600 grains available depending on your CPU. Push a simple sound toward strange noise, or build overlapping layers for atmospheric productions and experimental transitions. Pitch transposition spans 24 semitones in either direction, while LFOs, macros and parameter randomization add movement and variation. Freeze the buffer to keep working with a captured moment rather than new input. With a resizable interface and hover-based help, Emergence suits producers curious about granular processing as well as sound designers looking for detailed control over evolving effects.
