Built for Kontakt Player, this virtual instrument explores bowed, scraped, struck and plucked recordings, including performances with mallets, chopsticks, guitar picks and wet fingers. Repitching, layering and processing push those acoustic details into sounds that sit between organic and electronic. Its 82 instruments span Drum Kits, Melodic, Pads and SFX, and Tempo Synced categories, giving producers material for rhythmic parts, atmospheric layers and unusual melodies. Each patch presents controls suited to its sound, with options including envelopes, stereo spread, filters, layer blending and effects. Inspired by John Cage’s prepared-instrument experiments, Violence suits adventurous beatmakers, composers and sound designers who want violin-derived sounds that go far beyond a conventional string library.
