Alto Xylophone

Soundiron Alto Xylophone brings the warm, woody character of classroom Orff percussion into Kontakt, pairing a deeply sampled alto instrument with two brighter soprano xylophones. Expect rounded, plunky notes with quick decays, alongside sharper attacks, glissandos and percussive knocks. Two microphone positions, 10 round robins and up to 14 velocity layers per note provide detailed variation for expressive melodic parts. Beyond acoustic sounds, 20 organic ambient soundscapes and 20 custom FX presets offer starting points for atmospheric scoring and experimental production. Shape patterns with the customizable arpeggiator, keep melodies in key with scale locking, or explore modulation, filters and a flexible effects rack featuring convolution reverb. It suits hobby producers and composers looking for playful hooks, delicate rhythmic accents, jazz textures or unsettling wooden tones for horror cues.
