AudioThing Things – Crusher combines bit-crushing grit with flexible filtering in a straightforward effect plugin. Use it to roughen up clean synths, give drum loops a digital edge, or push samples toward a crunchy, lo-fi sound. The bit crusher offers bits, downsample and mix controls, letting you shape the degradation and blend it with the original signal. A separate harshness control, borrowed from AudioThing Reels, adds another way to adjust its abrasive character. For tonal shaping, the multimode filter includes lowpass, highpass, bandpass and notch modes, with a choice of 2- or 4-pole operation and output gain.
