Soundiron Aeolian Fan Harp is a Kontakt instrument library built around an unusual handmade, 12-string hollow-body harp by Dust Bowl Guitars. A built-in PC fan drives air across steel-wound strings, turning a guitar-like instrument into a source of sustained drones and shifting cinematic textures. Plucked notes with the fan off recall a baritone electric guitar, while bowed, scraped and gliding performances deliver eerie clusters, evolving tones and expressive sound effects. Nearly 14 GB of samples capture both close stereo microphones and a direct stereo pickup output, letting you shape an acoustic or electric character. The interface offers envelope, vibrato, filter and pitch controls, plus articulation switching and crossfading. A modular effects rack adds amp and speaker simulation, multi-effects and convolution reverb. It suits producers and composers looking for distinctive ambient layers, experimental electronic sounds and atmospheric film or game cues.
