Klavir is a free upright piano instrument from MNTRA Instruments, capturing a Petrof piano with both ultra-modern ultrasonic microphones and a vintage ribbon mic for close and far perspectives. Running inside the MNDALA 2 engine, it goes far beyond a traditional piano: shape the source recordings into nostalgic keys, ambient pads, noisy drones, or distorted synth-like sequences using intuitive controls and XYZ matrices. Fifteen presets range from gentle pianos to monolithic soundscapes, so you can start making music immediately. Recorded at extreme 32-bit 384kHz resolution and played back at 24-bit 96kHz, Klavir is CPU-efficient and available as a 64-bit VST3/AU plugin for Windows and Mac, including full M1 support. Its balanced tone—dark and bright, intimate and ambient—suits nearly any genre. Ideal for hobby producers in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want a versatile, sound-design-ready piano.
