Audio Damage Quanta 2 is a granular synthesizer for producers who want to turn recordings into playable textures, atmospheric pads, and experimental synth sounds. Its sample engine layers up to 100 grains per voice, with detailed control over their timing, pitch, direction, length, and stereo placement. Import WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, and other supported audio files to start shaping your own material.
Two virtual analog oscillators and a noise source let you combine sample-based textures with synthesized tones or feed additional sound into the grain engine. Dual filters offer serial or parallel routing, while built-in chorus, stereo dual delay, and reverb handle movement and space.
For evolving patches, Quanta 2 provides four flexible envelopes, two LFOs, and four MIDI-assignable macros. Optional grain pitch quantization keeps modulated pitches within a chosen scale, and automatic root-note detection helps map imported samples, with manual adjustment available. The redesigned interface adds right-click modulation assignment and visual indicators. Existing Quanta 1 presets also load, making this a useful option for hobby producers exploring granular sound design or expanding an established patch collection.
