AmpKnob BDH 5169

AmpKnob BDH 5169 is a high-gain guitar amp plugin modeled after the iconic 1992 “block letter” head that defined metalcore and heavy metal tones. Dialed in by producer Jens Bogren, it delivers aggressive, punchy distortion with a perfectly matched cabinet, mic, and recording chain. A built-in overdrive boost tightens the low end for heavy riffing, while the standalone version lets you capture ideas instantly with recording, metronome, and tuner—no DAW required. You can disable the cab or load your own impulse response for customization. Designed to keep you focused on playing rather than tweaking, this plugin suits metal guitarists and producers who want world-class high-gain tone with minimal fuss. It works in any major DAW and offers a free trial.
