BFD Player

BFD Player is a free virtual drum instrument from BFD, the team behind the award-winning BFD3. It delivers high-quality acoustic drum kits, professional grooves, and an intuitive mixer in one easy-to-use plugin. Open it in your DAW or standalone, and you’re ready to build radio-ready drum tracks in minutes. The 5GB core library includes pro-mixed kits and 340 searchable grooves by top drummers, with tags for genre, tempo, and leading hand. A simplified mixer offers four macros and presets for quick results, while separate output routing lets you process drums with your favorite plugins. The kit piece browser lets you swap drums and cymbals from expansion packs for a custom sound. BFD Player suits songwriters and producers who want realistic drums without complexity—and it’s completely free.
