Future Audio Workshop SubLab XL is a bass synthesizer for producers building 808 lines, clean sub-bass, gritty Reese patterns, and wide supersaw sounds. It combines synth and sampler engines with X-Sub, giving hip-hop and electronic music makers several ways to shape their low end.

The Super Oscillator layers saw, triangle, or square waves, with tuning, detuning, stereo width, and dry/wet controls. For extra character, build a chain of up to four effects and change their order. Options include six distortion styles, waveshaping, tape processing, bitcrushing, and compression with automatic sidechain control.

An LFO can animate two parameters at once, with five waveform choices and tempo sync for rhythmic movement. Two customizable macros let you adjust multiple settings together, with up to ten parameter assignments per macro.

SubLab XL includes nine factory bass packs, more than 100 presets, and hundreds of kick, transient, and 808 samples recorded from analog drum machines and modular gear. This Windows version offers VST2, VST3, AAX, and standalone formats, making it suitable for compatible setups in FL Studio, Ableton Live, and other Windows hosts.
