Oro

Oro is a sample-based instrument from MNTRA Instruments that captures the metallic soul of Bogotá, Colombia. Part of the Portals series, it blends modern valved brass (trumpet, trombone, sousaphone, bombardino) with an architecturally acclaimed pipe organ, metal percussion, and analog/digitally transformed versions of those sources. You also get seven natural ambiences recorded in the region. With 84 individual instruments and over 170 presets, Oro is built for producers seeking evocative, cinematic textures—think film scoring, ambient, world fusion, or experimental electronic music. The expressive articulations (falls, glissandi, frulatti, shakes) let you shape phrases with organic detail. It suits hobbyists and professionals alike who want a distinctive, location-inspired palette that transcends typical brass libraries. Whether you’re layering atmospheric beds or crafting bold melodic hooks, Oro offers a rich, transformative creative portal.
