SSL 4K E

The SSL 4K E plugin is an authentic emulation of the legendary 4000E console channel strip, created by Solid State Logic themselves. This plugin delivers the punchy, iconic sound that defined countless hit records from the 1980s and 90s, capturing the console’s renowned sonic character and workflow. It features detailed circuit modelling, including the Jensen transformer-balanced mic pre with adjustable saturation, three EQ flavours (Brown, Black, and rare passive Orange), and Revision 4 Dynamics with classic soft-knee compression. The DBX 202 Gold Can VCA fader saturation adds extra warmth, while HQ mode provides intelligent oversampling. With a compressor mix control and advanced settings, it offers flexibility for modern production. Ideal for hobby producers seeking the authentic SSL sound in their DAW, the 4K E brings the legacy of a studio icon to your fingertips, whether you’re mixing, tracking, or adding character to individual tracks or buses.
