Helios Type 69 Preamp and EQ Collection

The Helios Type 69 Preamp and EQ Collection from Universal Audio captures the unmistakable analog character of the original Helios Type 69 console, the same gear behind classic records by Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, and Pink Floyd. This plugin delivers the console’s famously assertive three-band EQ, with colorful midrange that adds attitude and punch to synths and guitars, plus four uniquely voiced low-frequency boost filters for a thick, solid bass foundation. You can also switch the bass band to a fixed 50 Hz low cut to clean up overheads and room mics. The emulation faithfully reproduces the hardware’s saturation behavior, so even extreme EQ moves stay musical. For Apollo users, Unison technology lets you track in real time through the vintage preamp’s impedance and gain staging. It works with any audio interface, no UA hardware required. Ideal for producers seeking authentic vintage tone on vocals, drums, guitar, and bass.
