CR-78 Drum Machine

Cherry Audio’s CR-78 is a virtual drum machine that faithfully recreates the punchy analog sounds and 34 preset rhythms of a classic beatbox, but with modern editing. Instead of sample playback, it uses modeled synthesis, so you can tweak each sound via a dedicated Voice Edit panel. The familiar X0X-style 16- or 24-step sequencer makes pattern building intuitive, while Song Mode lets you chain up to 99 patterns for full arrangements. You also get over 250 extra presets, swing and velocity controls, and real-time step entry via trigger, keyboard, or MIDI. A built-in effects/mixer section offers overdrive, flanger, delay, and gated reverb per instrument, plus a compressor and six-band EQ. With drag-and-drop MIDI export, individual outs, and full automation, it suits hobby producers making house, techno, pop, or any style needing vintage drum machine character with modern flexibility.
