BOREALIS

BOREALIS by MNTRA Instruments is an animistic performance reverb that goes far beyond static tails. It creates a reactive dialogue between your dry input and wet output, driven by a deep envelope follower and three complex modulators. Shape sound intuitively with X, Y and Z perform animations on the animated interface, or dive into deep customization. Choose from 14 spatial algorithms—from dark, dreamy Cavern and gritty Driven to lush Freeze, shifting Echo Hall, massive Endless, granular textures, and even the resonance of a 1940s RCA Victor studio and a Montreal church. A mastering-grade parametric EQ and dual-mode limiters (modern IIR look-ahead and vintage 1176-style) glue your mix together. Ideal for producers and sound designers seeking expressive, organic spaces that respond to playing—perfect for ambient, experimental, cinematic and electronic music where reverb becomes a performance tool.
