Genuine Soundware Model-D6 is a physically modeled electric keyboard instrument inspired by the D6 sound heard in funk, rock and pop. Rather than playing samples, it models 60 strings with full polyphony and sympathetic resonance, delivering percussive keyboard tones for tight rhythmic parts and melodic lines. It suits producers who want a guitar-like keyboard texture for funk grooves, retro arrangements or contemporary tracks.

You can shape the response with adjustable pickup positions, four D6-style filters and a damper lever. String condition, hammer-tip quality and wool-damper settings offer further control over tone and release. Pitch bend adds whammy-style movement, while aftertouch recreates the effect of extra pressure tapping the strings.

The onboard effects include wah-wah, phaser, stereo delay and stereo reverb. Five amplifier models, distortion and pickup feedback let you move from cleaner sounds to rougher textures without building a separate effects chain. Wah modulation can follow an LFO, playing dynamics or MIDI CC messages.

Available for Windows in VST2, VST3 and standalone formats, Model-D6 fits compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live, with low CPU and RAM demands.
