Adrosoft AD Stream Recorder 4.6 is a standalone Windows audio recording utility for capturing sound card inputs and streaming audio played through media players, including internet radio. It is suited to hobby music producers and anyone who needs a straightforward way to save incoming audio without recording inside a DAW.
Waveform and spectrum displays let you inspect the signal as you monitor or record. Clipping detection helps you spot excessive levels, so you can adjust the source before distortion spoils a take. You can also switch the active audio source while the program is running and use hotkeys to control recording.
AD Stream Recorder supports MP3, WMA and WAV formats, with WAV-to-MP3 conversion available for making compressed copies. A built-in player lets you review captured material, while the file list window and tag editor help organize recordings and update their metadata.
For Windows-based FL Studio or Ableton users, it serves as a separate capture tool rather than a VST effect or instrument.
