DC Snares

DC Snares is a dedicated snare construction kit plugin from Scaler Music, designed by multi-award-winning artist Davide Carbone. It streamlines the process of building powerful, custom snares by combining hundreds of onboard sounds with a purpose-built synth engine, a randomiser, and a four-slot sample layering system. You can shape and mangle your snares using pitch and amp envelopes with real-time waveform displays, plus a rearrangeable, snare-oriented effect chain featuring modules like the Sizzler, Transient Shaper, and Resonator. An internal sequencer makes programming snare rolls intuitive, with pitch-able triplet rolls, straight divisions, or chromatic playing. While focused on snares, it also excels at kicks, bass, hats, rims, and claps, making it useful for beat creation across hip-hop, trap, D&B, EDM, rock, and pop. It suits hobby producers and sound designers who want quick, impactful percussion for music production, sound design, or live performance.
