Empire Breaks

Empire Breaks is a Native Instruments Play Series instrument built for producers who love the raw, punchy sound of classic boom bap hip hop. It delivers vintage-style drum kits recorded from original live breaks and re-sampled with warm, 90s-inspired crunch. Every kick, snare, tom, and hat is captured with multiple velocity layers, so beats sound natural whether you play them live or program them. You also get 480 editable groove patterns that you can drag and drop as MIDI into any DAW, making it easy to sketch ideas fast. Macro controls let you add grit, groove, and swing to taste, giving your drums that bodega-dwelling, boombox-blasting character. It suits hobby producers making hip hop, lo-fi, and sample-based beats in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic. Just load it, play, and let the golden-era feel inspire your next track.
