CodeFN42 CCStepper is a free MIDI CC sequencer for Windows that sends changing controller values to MIDI-compatible software instruments, effects, or external hardware. Rather than generating sound itself, it provides sequenced control over parameters that respond to MIDI CC messages. It suits hobby producers who want to build repeating control patterns or explore less predictable parameter changes.

You can run up to eight independent sequences, with as many as 128 steps in each. Sequences can follow your DAW’s timing or start from MIDI note triggers, giving you different ways to integrate them into a project. Step timing ranges from fast 1/128-note divisions to intervals of 32 bars, covering both rapid changes and slowly evolving movement. Randomization options help introduce variation into your sequences.

Version 1.23 adds preset copy and paste between plugin instances, includes an installer, and addresses crashes involving multiple instances and DAW shutdown. This release is available as a 64-bit Windows VST only. It is a useful utility for FL Studio and Ableton Live users working with MIDI CC routing.
