The GForce Oberheim OB-1 is a software emulation of the underrated Oberheim OB-1 hardware synth, developed in collaboration with Oberheim. It delivers a rich, aggressive analogue sound that sits between the Minimoog and MS-20, making it ideal for techno, electro, and underground producers seeking character and versatility. Beyond vintage tones, it adds modern enhancements: up to 16-voice polyphony, unison mode, a high-pass filter, chorus, delay, and reverb effects. The X-Modifier enables deep modulation of most parameters, while four macros offer real-time control, with Macro4 modulatable by the built-in arpeggiator and sequencer. An enhanced signal path includes a new waveform, waveshape modulation, discrete oscillator/sub/noise levels, LFO sync and retrig, envelope looping, and pan spread. Whether crafting deep bass lines, soaring leads, or experimental textures, the OB-1 is a powerful ally for hobby producers and composers who cherish vintage analogue tones with modern flexibility.
