The EQ 73 from IK Multimedia is a meticulous emulation of the classic British Class-A preamp and 3-band EQ that shaped countless recordings. It goes beyond other models by capturing the crucial preamp saturation and preamp/EQ interaction that give the original its thick, harmonic-rich character. Use the preamp to add grit or subtle distortion, and the colorful EQ to boost high-end air and low-end punch without harshness or boom. The presence band helps sculpt the body of any track. It excels on kicks, snares, overheads, bass, guitars, and vocals, making it a versatile tool for hobby producers seeking authentic analog warmth in their DAW.
