A1TriggerGate by A1AUDIO is a free rhythmic gate effect that turns incoming audio into stepped, pulsing patterns. It suits hobby producers looking to add rhythmic movement to sounds in house, dubstep, trap, hip-hop and pop productions.

The pattern sequencer groups steps into beats, with four sixteenth-note steps per beat in Normal Mode or three eighth-note triplets in Triplet Mode. Each step has its own level fader, so you can shape accents rather than simply switch the audio on and off. Step-length controls offer NoStep, ShortStep, LongStep and StepLink options for building varied rhythmic phrases.

Built-in lowpass filtering, drive/distortion and echo/delay let you add tonal shaping and texture without navigating a large set of controls. A Global FX Off switch bypasses these extras when you want to compare presets by their gate patterns alone. For a starting point, the random function generates patterns to try.
