Achromic

Achromic by Iamlamprey is a sampled guitar instrument built for aggressive metal and hardcore rhythm parts. Its clean DI output lets you shape the tone with your own guitar amp plugin or re-amping setup, from tight distorted chugs to ringing sustained chords. Low MIDI velocities trigger palm mutes, while higher velocities play sustains, keeping riff writing straightforward without keyswitches. A non-repeating round-robin engine helps repeated notes feel less mechanical, and separately recorded pick attacks combine with transient control to bring definition through heavy distortion. Alternate picking and an automatable Force Downpick setting let you adjust the feel of a riff. Fret noise, release samples, pitch bend and dedicated FX keys add expressive details such as scrapes, dead notes and pinch harmonics. Achromic suits producers who want to program heavy guitar arrangements quickly while retaining control over attack and amp tone.
