Afroplugin is a free, sample-based drum instrument from Afroplug for producers building Afrobeats, Reggaeton, Dancehall, Zouk and related rhythms. Rather than synthesizing percussion from scratch, this ROMpler provides 120 sounds organized into 10 presets, giving hobby producers a focused starting point for drum programming.

Each preset loads 12 drum and percussion samples across a 12-pad layout. Individual volume and pan controls let you balance the kit and position its elements in the stereo field, while an ADSR envelope for each pad helps shape how each hit starts and fades. Global reverb, saturation and pitch controls affect the instrument as a whole.

You can use Afroplugin with a MIDI controller for hands-on rhythm practice, but a controller is not required. It is aimed at producers who want to explore Afro and urban dance grooves with a compact sound collection. The initial version is described as a beta, so occasional bugs are possible.
