ALT-436C

ALT-436C by Antelope Audio is a native plugin recreation of a late-1950s single-channel vari-MU tube compressor. Modeled after the third revision of the classic 436, it includes Threshold and Release controls and delivers up to 30 dB of smooth, thump-free gain reduction. Its all-tube design adds warm, musical polish to vocals and bass guitars, helping them stand out in a mix, while also flattering brass, strings, and synths. On the mix bus, it provides gentle glue without excessive vintage coloration. The plugin preserves dynamic range and maintains a uniform level without overmodulation. It runs on Mac or PC in any DAW without extra hardware, and also works in real time on compatible Synergy Core devices. Ideal for hobby producers seeking authentic vintage character and versatility.
