Alto Glockenspiel

Soundiron Alto Glockenspiel is a sampled percussion instrument for Kontakt, bringing bright, bell-like melodies and delicate rhythmic detail to your tracks. Built around a compact 25-key glockenspiel, it offers hard mallet, soft mallet and choked articulations, with multiple dynamic layers and round-robin variations for natural expression. Blend close, dry stereo recordings with a distant cathedral perspective to move from focused notes to spacious, shimmering textures. The extended playable range reaches beyond the original instrument, opening up unusually low tones and sparkling highs. Layer controls, an optional sub-synth underlay, an arpeggiator and an auto-roll system help shape everything from simple hooks to animated patterns. Onboard effects, convolution reverb, sound-designed ambiences and a bonus toy glockenspiel add further creative options. It suits hobby producers and composers looking for melodic percussion, playful accents or atmospheric scoring textures.
