Ample Sound Ample Bass Jazz is a sampled electric bass instrument built around a John English Masterbuilt Fender Jazz Bass. It gives home producers a way to program detailed bass parts without recording a live player, from sustained fingerstyle lines to slap, pop and tapped passages.
The 5.99 GB sample library includes fingering noise and articulations such as palm mutes, harmonics, hammer-ons, pull-offs and slides. Polyphonic legato, adjustable tuning down to B, and automatic or manual buzzing help shape the performance beyond basic note playback.
For tone shaping, the built-in amp section offers three models, four cabinet configurations and four microphone choices per cabinet, plus room microphones. An eight-band EQ, compressor, six-tap echo and convolution reverb provide additional processing.
Riffer 2 lets you edit individual note attributes, including articulation, vibrato and bend, or generate new riff ideas. The Tab Player can load compatible tablature files and play selected tracks. For Windows-based FL Studio and Ableton Live setups, the listed VST2 and VST3 support makes it a practical option for MIDI-driven bass production. This version requires a 64-bit system.
