Ample Sound Ample Metal RAY5 is a sampled bass instrument built around the sound of a Stingray 5 Classic five-string bass. It gives home producers and MIDI composers a way to write detailed bass parts without recording a live player, with articulations including palm mutes, harmonics, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides and dead notes.

Performance controls help shape the details that make a programmed line feel played: fingering noise, adjustable attack accents, buzzing and polyphonic legato. Alternate tuning extends the range down to A, while MIDI CC and automation support let you adjust parameters from your DAW.

For tone shaping, RAY5 includes three amp models, four cabinet configurations, selectable microphones and room mics. An eight-band EQ, compressor, six-tap echo and convolution reverb provide further processing inside the instrument.

The Riffer 2 editor lets you work with note articulation, velocity, vibrato and bends, or generate riff ideas with its Dice function. A separate Tab Player loads compatible guitar and bass tablature. The listed Windows version requires a 64-bit system and suits bass programming in hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
